We would like to draw you attention to your obligations pursuant to the customs regulations of the Republic of Croatia regarding the temporary import procedure, regulated by the Convention on Temporary Importation (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia „Narodne novine“ International Agreements, br. 16/98), Customs Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia „Narodne novine“, br. 78/99, 94/99, 117/99, 73/00, 92/01, 47/03, 140/05, 138/06, 60/08, 45/09 and 56/10), and the Decree on Implementation of the Customs Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia „Narodne novine“, br. 161/03, 5/07, 70/08, 76/09 and 29/11).
Let us explain the above terms for those who are not familiar with the same. Temporary import procedure allows the use of foreign goods, partly or totally free from customs duties and taxes and exemption from the commercial measures, under the condition that the said goods are intended for further export in unchanged condition, except the usual loss of value due to the wear and tear.
We therefore kindly ask you to take notice of the fact that the deadline for further export of your vessels is set to eighteen months, after the expiry of which your vessel has to be exported once again from the territory of the Republic of Croatia, or you have to pay the customs duties for the same.
